Northeast Home Improvement (NEHI) was formed in 1996. Our goal is to provide high quality home improvement and energy conservation services to the Hudson Valley Region, which meets or exceeds customer expectations. NEHI was initially created to assist in completing grant related construction work. Over the years NEHI has increased our business services, adding DSS contracting work, as well as becoming a Building Performance Initiative certified contractor and more. Through these expansions, NEHI is able to perform energy saving construction measures to homes throughout the Mid Hudson Valley Region including insulation, new windows, new heating systems and roofs. NEHI has further expanded in the last few years to perform any and all construction needed on homes.

With NEHI's expertise and high tech equipment, we are able to help families save as much as 40% on their energy bills. NEHI is the contract company in Dutchess County for NYSERDA's Assisted Home Performance with Energy Star program. NEHI is also the contract company for Dutchess County DSS no heat emergency work under the HERR program.

Together DCCAP and NEHI help low income families save on their energy costs. DCCAP and NEHI help families see what financial assistance they may qualify for through programs such as Assisted Home Performance, and help them apply. Being a certified Building Performance Initiative contractor means NEHI is experienced, and well qualified to bring your home up to the latest energy efficiency standards of Energy Star.
